CMC is best known for the iconic blue “JIFFY” Mixes logo found across their fourteen boxes of dry baking mixes as well as their CMC and “JIFFY” branded products within the Foodservice industry. It’s no wonder the brand and their recipes have become a staple in pantries across the world – the family-owned business was established in 1901 and continues to thrive today. The baking mix company prides themselves on the strength of their company culture and encourages collaboration in all areas of their business.

A Company Committed to Transformation and Continuous Improvement

Efforts to position the company for continued long-term success started prior to CMC’s Plex implementation. As mentioned, CMC manufactures fourteen different dry baking mixes marketed under the brand name ““JIFFY” and is found in grocery stores. Since 2007, the company also began selling larger format bags and cases for the foodservice industry. This industry covers everything from restaurants, entertainment venues, schools, universities, corporate dining rooms, healthcare, corrections, and much more.

With a consistent mindset of continuous improvement, the company faced the challenge of having to upgrade their core technologies, including a fresh look at their ERP.
