TROY, MICH., July 13, 2016 – Plex Systems, the leader in cloud ERP for manufacturing, has been designated a Breakout Vendor for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Business Applications in the May 2016 Forrester Research report, Breakout Vendors: SaaS Business Applications. The report recognizes Plex among six SaaS business application vendors that stand out for their track records of customer success and market approaches to their respective segments. When selecting the six vendors, Forrester focused on several common attributes that drive success: a differentiated product and message, customer success at scale, solid financial backing, and a strong ecosystem strategy.
According to Forrester, “Whereas most SaaS ERP systems are based on existing on-premises offerings, Plex Manufacturing Cloud is a comprehensive manufacturing ERP system that is SaaS-only. The offering allows Plex customers to focus on their core competencies in manufacturing rather than maintaining application software and data centers.”
This recognition follows Plex’s annual user conference, PowerPlex, where Plex announced the availability of a new suite of finance and sales analytics applications for manufacturing, as well as a new suite of supply chain planning products. The new offerings add to Plex’s portfolio of solutions aimed at addressing the most pressing needs of today and tomorrow’s manufacturers.
