AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 27, 2012 – Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online FSMS, the leading enterprise Food Safety Management System, today announced that Senior Solution Engineer Tom Nessen will speak at the Food Safety Summit, a comprehensive education program for the entire food industry, April 17-19 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Nessen will present “FSMA Effects on Your Operations: Protecting Your Brand” on April 19 at 10 a.m. in Theatre A. Plex Systems also will demonstrate Plex Online, its Cloud-based Food Safety Management System, at booth #534.
In his session, Nessen will discuss how food processors can establish or enhance a comprehensive Food Safety Management System to improve operations and protect their brands to meet the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Sharing real-life examples, Nessen will cover how necessary elements such as eHACCP, MOM, traceability and integrated ERP can work together to enable full FSMA compliance while improving current operations and further enhancing a processor’s brand throughout the entire enterprise.
“Strengthening Food Safety Management Systems for compliance while staying lean and competitive can seem like a daunting task,” said Plex Systems Vice President Patrick Fetterman. “When a company is compliant, its operations will naturally function better as a result. Cloud-based ERP solutions are helping food processors stay on top of FSMA regulations while offering the added value of strengthening their brand and overall operations in the process.”
