AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 22, 2012 -- Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, today announced that TRUSTe, the leading online privacy solutions provider, has certified the privacy practices of Plex Systems' website and services for compliance with the EU Safe Harbor and Trusted Cloud programs. The TRUSTe seal is a signal to consumers that a website is safeguarding its visitors' personal information and values online privacy. The EU Safe Harbor certification indicates that the company is in compliance with the European Union Directive on data protection specifically for the Safe Harbor framework, which ensures European citizens that their privacy is protected. "After a rigorous assessment of our privacy policies by TRUSTe, we are pleased to have earned the opportunity to display the TRUSTe seal," said Plex Systems Vice President of Infrastructure Tom DeCoe. "It is a visual reminder that validates the best practices and privacy policies of Plex Systems in protecting the data collected from all visitors to the Plex Systems website." TRUSTe certification programs have strict requirements that define compliance standards for business practices involving the collection and use of data. To attain the certifications, a participating company must provide proof of its privacy and data governance practices for data collected on behalf of users, customers and partners--particularly as these practices relate to notice, choice and accountability. Upon a satisfactory evaluation, TRUSTe provides a trustmark indicator that certifies that the company's practices are compliant with TRUSTe's privacy standard.
