NASHVILLE, TN, July 1, 2015 – Plex, the leader in cloud ERP for manufacturing, today announced the 2015 Plex Impact Awards recipients: American Axle & Manufacturing, FloraCraft and Accuride Corporation. The annual awards honor manufacturers for industry leadership, innovation and transformation.
Plex announced the winners at PowerPlex 2015, the company's annual customer event that brings together manufacturing leaders from discrete and process industries to share best practices in cloud computing and manufacturing technologies.
2015 Plex Impact Award Winners
- Leadership: American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) was recognized for leading the automotive industry into the cloud. AAM implemented a new cloud ERP system across seven facilities to automate all operations in AAM's metal-forming unit. Through access to real-time data and increased efficiency, the division achieved manufacturing output and improvement in inventory turns.
- Innovation: FloraCraft harnessed the cloud for innovation. The company revolutionized its business by capturing production data instantly to help guide decision making, meet changing demand and ensure on-time, accurate shipments. As a result, FloraCraft substantially increased revenues without increasing labor costs and earned the distinction of Walmart's 2014 Supplier of the Year.
- Transformation: Accuride transformed its organization by modernizing its information and manufacturing execution systems across six of its nine operations. With Plex, Accuride increased productivity, automated processes, integrated workflows and achieved greater visibility across the organization. These achievements – coupled with existing process upgrades – helped the company win a 2014 AME Manufacturing Excellence Award
for its facility in Henderson, Kentucky.
