DETROIT, MICH., April 27, 2016 – Plex Systems, the leader in cloud ERP for manufacturing, today announced the 2016 Plex Impact Awards winners: Firstronic, MFC Netform and MPI Corporation. The annual awards honor manufacturers for industry leadership, innovation and transformation.  Plex announced these award recipients and shared their stories on how they leveraged the Plex Manufacturing Cloud to help optimize their organizations at PowerPlex 2016, the company’s annual customer event, where manufacturing and technology leaders come together to collaborate, learn and celebrate the people and companies that make things.

Plex Impact Award: Leadership

Firstronic is a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services to the automotive, industrial and medical device industries. Just 90 days after their first go-live on Plex, Firstronic launched and went live at a second, completely new production facility in Mexico. Firstronic has achieved industry leadership by delivering new levels of customer collaboration and responsiveness. That capability started with upgrades to their entire infrastructure, including installation of over 100 machines and production validation testing on all of their products and processes. Through these efforts, Firstronic has continued its rapid growth, won new OEM contracts and received industry awards for service excellence.

Plex Impact Award: Innovation

MFC Netform is a high-tech manufacturer of cold-formed metal components used in a variety of industries, with proven leadership in automotive powertrain parts. MFC’s innovations in manufacturing technology and end-to-end manufacturing processes have enabled the company to win major, competitive OEM contracts. MFC Netform has leveraged Plex to support everything from quality management to inventory. MFC’s organizational performance makes them a stand out supplier, with quality metrics that customers trust to benchmark their own operations.

Plex Impact Award: Transformation

Upon signing with Plex, MPI Corporation immediately set in place a strategy to transform the precision slit metal supplier ABC Metals, Inc.,  with new systems across three plants.  ABC Metals not only automated virtually every aspect of their business, they used Web services to create a complete Made-to-Order front-end to their Plex system. The solution transformed operations, allowing ABC to match available inventory against user requirements down to the attribute level. The result is major improvements in on-time delivery, inventory optimization, supplier ordering and increased visibility across the business.
